Demand justice for Jesus Arturo Aguirre on 7/22 at the OCDA’s office
Justice for Jesus Arturo Aguirre is set for Monday, July 22, 2013, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am, at the OC District Attorney’s office, located at 401 Civic Center DR W, in Santa Ana.
Organizers of this protest are demanding a stop to :
- Police abuse
- The unilateral gang enhancement
- Sentencing minors as adults
- And the continuing criminalization of youth of color
They want the prosecution of corrupt and killer cops.
As a victim of the prison industrial complex, Jesús Arturo Aguirre was sentenced to life in prison at age 16, during a devious trial based on intimidation and the exaggeration of the facts. He was convicted of eight
charges that had to do with a personal dispute between two other people resulting in a minor injury. Nevertheless, for being part of the same social network, Jesús was found to be the only suspect of this quarel.

On June 14, 2013 the Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC) voted to grant re-accreditation to The Taft University System until June 2018. Both Taft Law School and William Howard Taft University are members of The Taft University System. This action was taken after consideration of an extensive self-study prepared by the institution and a comprehensive report prepared by a site visitation team that included representatives of both regionally and American Bar Association accredited schools. Santa Ana Police Department Advisory: Mother arrested for Willful Cruelty to a Child
On Thursday, July 18, 2013, at approximately 1140 hrs, officers were sent to the 700 block S. Lyon St reference to a welfare check on a child found in the courtyard of the apartment complex. Once officers arrived at the scene they located a 10 year child lying on the ground and noticed that he had a long aluminum chain wrapped approximately 4-5 times around both his ankles and a black, metal “Master Lock” padlock affixed to the chain and locked. NEWPORT BEACH – A female pimp will be arraigned tomorrow for running a high-end brothel and pimping a female victim out of an apartment in Irvine. Mingshu Jin, 41, Irvine, is charged with one felony count each of pimping and pandering. She faces a maximum sentence of six years in state prison if convicted. The defendant is out of custody on $35,000 bail. Jin is scheduled to be arraigned tomorrow, Friday, July 19, 2013, at 8:30 a.m. in Department H-2, Harbor Justice Center, Newport Beach. On 6/3/2013 26 year old Antonia Benitez, of Santa Ana dropped off her 4 year old daughter at a local hospital suffering from open wounds and malnutrition. The 4 year old weighed only 18 lbs.
