Help plan Santa Ana’s 150th Anniversary at a community meeting on June 13

The City of Santa Ana will be celebrating its 150th anniversary this year. Join us on June 13th for a community meeting to help us plan the celebration events. This will also be an opportunity to provide input and suggestions on the logo, slogan, and banners for the festivities.

Three different meeting TIMES available on the same day, June 13, 2019. You are welcome to attend during the following meeting times:

The SAPD is searching for a homeless man who tried to strangle his ex-wife

On 5-23-2019, at approximately 7:30 pm, the victim picked up her ex-husband, Alexander Diaz, in the City of Santa Ana. While the victim was driving, Diaz choked the victim two times causing visible injury. During the assault, the victim loss consciousness momentarily causing the vehicle to come to a stop in the middle of traffic. Suspect Diaz is also being investigated by SAPD for a separate domestic violence assault against the same victim, according to the SAPD.

Diaz is a transient and known to visit his sister’s residence in the 1600 block of West Civic Center Drive, He frequents the area of Walnut St / Daisy St in Santa Ana and Garden Grove Blvd / Haster St in Garden Grove.

Additionally, Diaz currently has a $40,000 outstanding warrant for Possession of Stolen Property, Auto Theft, Obstruction Of Police Officer, and Narcotics Violations.
