Night Work
Construction from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Wednesday through Sunday, continues this week at the following crossings:

All construction is subject to schedule changes unexpectedly. If you have questions about work at a specific crossing, please call (888) 855-RAIL.
This construction is part of OCTA’s rail safety enhancement program. OCTA is partnering with local cities on the first countywide effort to enhance rail safety at 50 railroad crossings in Orange County. |
Signalling systems and crossing gates can fail. When approaching the crossing west bound on Santa Clara, there is no way to see an approaching train. I suggest you consider installation of mirrors that would allow a driver to see up and down the tracks.
I would be happy to have the train horns silenced or at least a reduction of the extent of the signalling late at night.
