FBI Investigating Orange County Supervisors

The FBI confirmed today that a Task Force has been assembled from the FBI, IRS, District Attorney and U.S. Attorney’s Office to investigate reports of political campaign corruption in Orange County, California. As America’s most Republican County, it is not surprising that a Democrat Attorney General under a Democrat Administration would put powerful Republican politicians in their cross-hairs. But with Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas, a Republican and former Superior Court Judge, as part of the Task Force, my sources believe that over the next two months it is very likely the Supervisors homes will be raided and indictments will be issued for “pay to play” campaign corruption charges. Joseph Hawa, an artist at the Santora Arts Building, in Downtown Santa Ana, since 1999, lost eight to 10 paintings in a burglary. Hawa said that he discovered the theft Wednesday, and guessed that it may have taken place on Monday night or Tuesday, according to the O.C. Register. He said the paintings were worth about $25,000 to $30,000.

SANTA ANA – A man will face trial Monday for the beating-murder of his girlfriend’s sister’s 18-month-old daughter and abusing another child in a similar way in 2009. Juan Carlos Aguilar, 27, Santa Ana, is charged with one felony count of murder, one felony count of assault on a child with force likely to produce great bodily injury resulting in death, and two felony counts of child abuse. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of 31 years to life in state prison. DUI Enforcement Operations in Dana Point, San Clemente and San Juan Capistrano
SANTA ANA, California – (July 26, 2013) – Deputies from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department’s DUI Task Force will deploy this weekend to stop and arrest alcohol and drug-impaired drivers in the Department’s ongoing traffic safety campaign.
DUI Saturation Patrols will deploy on Friday, July 26 at 7:00 pm until Saturday, July 27 at 3:00 am in the cities of Dana Point, San Clemente and San Juan Capistrano. These patrols will be targeting areas with high frequencies of DUI collisions and/or arrests. Continue reading→

Santa Ana Police were asking for the public’s help Thursday in identifying a man wanted for robbing one Subway restaurant four times in the past several weeks. The most recent incident occurred Tuesday just before 11 p.m. at the Subway restaurant in the 2600 block of West Edinger Avenue, according to KTLA News.
The same shop was robbed on June 12, July 11 and July 17. Police believe each robbery was committed by the same man, according to CBS News. Continue reading→

Santa Ana Police Department Advisory: Update: Fatal Collision at 1000 N Bristol St.
On 7-24-13 at 2043 hours, a female adult walked eastbound on 10th St. toward Bristol St. with several children. When they reached Bristol St., they stopped at the northwest corner and waited to cross Bristol St. in an unmarked crosswalk. As they waited, three of the older children ran eastbound across Bristol St. Two younger children (a male and a female) followed them and ran into the path of on-coming traffic. PAROLEE CONVICTED OF MOLESTING 4-YEAR-OLD FEMALE RELATIVE WHILE BABYSITTING
SANTA ANA – A parolee was convicted yesterday on charges of sexually assaulting a 4-year-old female relative while he was babysitting her and solely responsible for her care. Gordon Ray Bodkin, 47, Huntington Beach, was found guilty July 23, 2013, by a jury of one felony count of unlawful sexual intercourse with a child under 10, and one felony count of sexual penetration of a child under 10. He has a prior strike conviction for residential burglary in 2009. He faces a maximum sentence of 55 years to life in state prison and mandatory lifetime sex offender registration at his sentencing Aug. 30, 2013, at 10:45 a.m. in Department C-39, Central Justice Center, Santa Ana.
