A Santa Ana man was arrested in Fountain Valley for breaking into cars
On Saturday morning, June 9, 2018, at 4:05 a.m., a resident saw two suspicious subjects possibly breaking into a car in the 18200 block of Santa Arabella Street in Fountain Valley, according to the Fountain Valley Police Department.

Armed robbery suspects led the Garden Grove police on a pursuit that ended in L.A.
Two armed-robbery suspects, Mondher Arredondo, 33, and Angellia Lopez, 24, were arrested Monday morning, June 11, after leading police on a chase from Garden Grove to Los Angeles County, according to the O.C. Register.
The Garden Grove police were contacted at about 12:30 a.m. about an armed robbery near Harbor Blvd. and Quatro Ave. When the officers arrived at the scene they ended up pursuing the suspects as they fled in their vehicle onto the Westbound 22 Freeway then onto the I-405. Continue reading

The SAPD found a grenade while breaking up a large fight at tonight’s DTSA block party
A bomb scare reported in DTSA’s East End tonight turned out to be an inert grenade, according to the SAPD.
Apparently a large fight broke out at the Block Party, at 4th and French, in DTSA. While SAPD police officers were trying to break up the fight they came across a hand grenade in “close proximity.” Continue reading

COSTA MESA, Calif. – The Costa Mesa Police Department (CMPD), along with the California Highway Patrol, will be conducting a driving under the influence (DUI) and driver’s license checkpoint on Friday, June 8, 2018, from 8:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. within the city limits.
DUI checkpoints like this one are placed in locations based on collision statistics and frequency of DUI arrests, affording the greatest opportunity for achieving drunk and drugged driving deterrence. Locations are chosen with safety considerations for the officers and the public. Drivers caught driving impaired can expect the impact of a DUI arrest to include jail time, fines, fees, DUI classes, license suspensions and other expenses that can exceed $10,000. Continue reading
AT&T store robbery suspects were pursued to Anaheim early this morning
Robbers targeted the AT&T store at the 100 block of South Main Street early this morning, June 5, at about 1 a.m., according to the Orange County Register.

A dog was killed and three more were injured in a possible coyote attack in Santa Ana
A coyote that may have been cornered by four miniature pinscher dogs ended up killing one of them and hurting the rest at about 2:30 a.m. in an unincorporated area of Santa Ana on Monday, according to CBS News.
Area residents heard noises outside and then discovered that a 10-year-old female miniature pinscher mix had been killed in a possible fight with a coyote, according to Orange County Animal Care. Continue reading
