Fullerton firefighter who lives in Anaheim among those arrested for rioting in H.B.

Michael John Lytle, 30, of Anaheim, a Fullerton firefighter, was among those arrested on suspicion of participating in the Huntington Beach riot over the weekend, authorities said Tuesday. He was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, Fullerton city officials said. He has been placed on administrative leave, according to NBC News.

He was off-duty at the time of the incident but has been placed on paid administrative leave. Lytle was hired as a firefighter by the city of Fullerton on Feb. 11, 2008, according to the City of Fullerton. Continue reading→

SANTA ANA – A man was sentenced today to six years and eight months in state prison and mandatory lifetime sex offender registration for sexually assaulting, raping, and robbing two women whom he met through PennySaver advertisements for apartment rental and furniture sales in the 1980s. GANG MEMBER SENTENCED TO LIFE IN PRISON WITHOUT PAROLE PLUS 25 YEARS FOR SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES SHOOTING-MURDER OF MAN DURING ATTEMPTED ROBBERY

*An unidentified accomplice is outstanding in this case

FULLERTON – A criminal street gang member was sentenced today to life in state prison without the possibility of parole plus an additional 25 years to life in state prison for the shooting-murder of a man, whom the defendant had intended to rob. Albert Lubo Ruedas, 25, Garden Grove, was found guilty by a jury June 15, 2011, of one felony count of special circumstances murder in the commission of a robbery and for a criminal street gang purpose and one felony count of street terrorism. The sentencing enhancements for the personal discharge of a firearm and criminal street gang activity were found true.

The defendant is a member of an Anaheim Hispanic criminal street gang. At approximately 12:30 a.m. on July 29, 2008, 46-year-old Daniel Jimenez Lopez was walking home alone on Sullivan Street in Santa Ana. The victim is not a gang member. Armed with a firearm, Ruedas and an unknown accomplice ran up to the victim with the intention of robbing him. Continue reading→

Bravo! Bus Speeds Up Harbor Boulevard Commute

OCTA launches limited-stop service June 10 and offers free rides Monday through Wednesday

ORANGE – Bravo! Route 543 – the new limited-stop bus service along Harbor Boulevard – will begin operating Monday, June 10, giving commuters an opportunity to make it to their destination more quickly.

The Orange County Transportation Authority service will have distinct blue and orange buses with Bravo! branding. The service will run 12 miles along Harbor Boulevard stretching from the Fullerton Transportation Center, through Anaheim, Garden Grove, Santa Ana and ending at MacArthur Boulevard in Costa Mesa. ORANGE COUNTY – Over 180 law enforcement officers from 19 agencies netted 29 juveniles in violation of city curfew laws last night in the 5th annual curfew sweeps by the Orange County Gang Reduction and Intervention Partnership (OC GRIP). Did the Santa Ana SWAT team shoot Hallstrom to help out Anaheim’s P.D.?

On March 15, Jason E. “Hoss” Hallstrom and Travis Mock, 29, were being chased by SAPD SWAT officers on I-5 when they got off at Grand Avenue and headed north, Santa Ana authorities said. The officers in question ended up shooting Hallstrom to death, and wounding Mock.

No one seems to know exactly what happened or why the SAPD SWAT team chased down and shot these individuals. However a friend of Hallstrom, Jeffrey Lowe, has contacted me with information that suggests the shooting was premeditated.

According to Lowe, it has been said that Mock has a million dollar law suit against the City of Anaheim for a O.I.S. (officer-involved shooting) that happened back in Feb. 2011. That is not a lot of money for a city awash in tourist tax revenue, however Lowe is wondering if the public is altogether aware just how the Anaheim/Santa Ana police departments are connected?
