A documented gang member, Jorge Ocampo, 21, was being held Saturday in connection with a deadly hit-and-run car crash in Santa Ana. He turned himself in to authorities late Friday evening, according to KTLA.
Ocampo was booked on suspicion of two counts of vehicular manslaughter, felony hit-and-run and being an unlicensed driver, according to the SAPD. He was allegedly behind the wheel of a speeding black Audi that ran a stop sign and broadsided a blue Nissan making a left turn at the intersection of Cabrillo Park Drive and Fruit Street around 10:43 a.m. Friday, according to the Los Angeles Times.
