SANTA ANA, CA – The City of Santa Ana’s 15th Annual Downtown Cinco de Mayo Festival kicks off Friday, May 2 with carnival rides starting at 6 p.m. The street fair continues all weekend in Santa Ana’s beautiful historic downtown on Fourth Street on Saturday, May 3, from Noon to 9 p.m. and Sunday May 4, from Noon to 8 p.m. This year, the Festival will feature fifteen great performances on the main stage in addition to the great food, games, arts and crafts, and opportunities to shop and get information about art, activities, events and programs.
On Saturday, May 3, the highly popular Los Horoscopos de Durango will be performing on the main stage. A key treat for the community and the region is a special appearance by the Coach for the All Star Soccer team from Mexico that will be competing at the World Cup next month in Brazil. Coach Miguel Herrera, also known as “El Piojo,” will be taking questions from youth soccer players on the main stage on Sunday, May 4. Twenty youth soccer players will be selected to ask “El Piojo” a question in front of a huge audience of soccer loving fans. Continue reading
