The 2010 Major League Baseball All Star Game arrives with much fanfare today in Anaheim, where Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz won the Home Run Derby yesterday.
I expect that some of Orange County’s wealthiest elite will be there, along with folks who bought season tickets and a lot of out of town visitors. There will also be protesters there.
Activists will be there today to protest next year’s MLB All Star Game, which is scheduled to be in Phoenix, Arizona, home of the dreadful SB 1070 racial profiling law.
MLB Commissioner Bud Selig predictably issued a statement indicating that MLB has no intention of moving the game elsewhere. However, many of his own players and managers disagree with that notion.
