Advisory: Detectives Requesting Media And Public Assistance In Identifying Female Assault Suspect
Location: McDonald’s – 1439 N Bristol St, Santa Ana, CA 92706
Suspect: Female, Hispanic, brown hair, approx. 20-25 years old, pink shirt and gray sweatpants.
On 10/27/18 at approximately 11:00 PM, the suspect entered the McDonald’s restaurant from the employee back door and asked for ketchup. When the store manager said she could not be in the building, the suspect became combative. The suspect pushed, punched, and choked the victim.

A fire damaged two homes at the 400 block of N. Laurel St., in Santa Ana, this morning just past 9 a.m., according to the OCFA.
High winds downed a power line that came into contact with trees near the houses. The fire spread to the roofs of the homes and then grew. Continue reading→

On Monday, November 12, 2018, at 1:40 AM, an unidentified male caller reported to 911 dispatchers that his friend was shot in the area of West 1st Street and N. Pacific Avenue. Shortly thereafter, an unidentified male dropped off an unidentified female at a local hospital. The male fled prior to officers arrival. The adult female had a gunshot wound to her upper body. SANTA ANA PD DETECTIVES INVESTIGATING HOMICIDE – 1600 BLOCK OF WEST WISTERIA PLACE
On Sunday, November 11, 2018, at 4:16 PM, SAPD Officers responded to reports of a shooting at the 1600 block of West Wisteria Place. Officers located an unresponsive adult male suffering from gunshot wounds on the grass parkway. Orange County Fire Authority paramedics responded, treated, and transported the victim to a local trauma center. The attending physician declared the victim deceased at 5:10 PM. Continue reading→

I saw mayoral candidate Sal Tinajero speak at several campaign events leading up to the Nov. 6 General Election. Every time I heard him he was incredibly nasty – and his diatribes were at best filled with half-truths. The voters, needless to say, didn’t buy his act and Santa Ana Mayor Miguel Pulido beat him convincingly.

The OC Health Care Agency has released a list of the eateries (including restaurants, caterers and even school kitchens) that they inspected and shut down for the week of Nov. 1 to Nov. 9, 2018. I was disappointed by the results of my school board campaign however when one door closes another one opens up. My good friend Ceci Iglesias was elected to the Santa Ana City Council, after withstanding withering attacks and she is going to appoint me as her representative on the Board of Santa Ana Parks and Recreation.
As my readers know I have been very frustrated by the conditions of our parks here in Santa Ana. They are not safe for our kids and families any more. Drugged out vagrants have taken over, the park bathrooms are disgusting, the lights often don’t work, etc. Continue reading→

An armed man held off the SAPD for 8 hours today at his home before finally surrendering, according to the O.C. Register.

While voter turnout in yesterday’s General Election, here in Santa Ana, was very low the results worked out in favor of Santa Ana Mayor Miguel Pulido, who was easily reelected to what will be his last two-year term after he trounced his opponent, termed out City Councilman Sal Tinajero.
The successful City Council candidates, including Ceci Iglesias in Ward 6 and David Penaloza in Ward 2, are likely to ally with Pulido. Current City Council member Juan Villegas can be counted on as well. With Pulido that makes a four member City Council majority. Continue reading→
The SAPD responded today at around 11:15 a.m. to reports of a man holding a gun in the front yard of his property, at the 1400 block of Van Ness Avenue, according to the O.C. Register.
