Congressman Lou Correa, in conjunction with the City of Santa Ana, Santa Ana College, Santa Ana Unified School District, and World Relief of Southern California will be hosting a FREE Citizenship Fair on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Santa Ana College, in Dunlap Hall from 10 am – 2 pm. The address to the location is 1530 W. 17th Street, Santa Ana, CA 92706. The citizenship fair will provide assistance with the Citizenship Application and will be free of charge.

U.S. Rep. Lou Correa tried to conduct an Immigration Workshop and Town Hall meeting yesterday at Santa Ana’s Delhi Center but a fracas broke out between Trump supporters and immigration supporters.

I had a chance to meet with Irvine Mayor Pro Tem Lynn Schott a couple weeks ago. She is running for the 46th Congressional District, which is being vacated by U.S. Rep. Loretta Sanchez, who is running for the U.S. Senate.

Schott, a Republican, grew up in Santa Ana, where her father was a barber with a shop in downtown Santa Ana. Her mom still lives in Santa Ana. And Schott got her education in Santa Ana while also getting her first job, at a travel agency in downtown Santa Ana.  Continue reading→

I stopped by today’s Fiestas Patrias parade in Downtown Santa Ana – mostly to take pictures of the local politicians but also to take in the spectacle.  I was not disappointed on either count.
