O.C.D.A. Rackauckas blasted by his hand-picked committee of legal experts regarding the use of jailhouse snitches

A committee of legal experts, referred to as the Informant Policies & Practices Evaluation Committee (IPPEC), hand-picked by Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas on Monday issued a report declaring his office a “rudderless ship” and calling for a deeper investigation into the use of jailhouse informants, according to the O.C. Register.

Rackauckas’ hand-picked panel backfired on him as they are calling for the Orange County Grand Jury, the state Attorney General or the U.S. Department of Justice to further investigate the allegations that prosecutors and police misused a covert network of jailhouse informants and withheld evidence from defense attorneys. (Orange County, CA) — In response to the recent statement made by District Attorney’s Chief of Staff Susan Krang Schroeder that, “Spitzer is running for D.A. on the graves of eight murdered people,” (A Fight They Won’t Take On, Supervisors Hesitant to Act Against D.A. WARNING: UNETHICAL AND INACCURATE REPORTING BY THE ‘VOICE OF OC’

“The Orange County District Attorney (OCDA) has endured years of unethical and inaccurate web ‘reporting’ by various staff members of the Voice of OC.

The latest occurred this afternoon during my conversation with Adam Elmahrek, who is on staff with the Voice of OC.

Any reporter might make a mistake, but it’s unethical to not correct their mistake when it is obvious they made one and it creates mistaken fact. Continue reading→
