Westminster police are looking for an overweight vaper who was caught on surveillance video at the scene where Treeanna Nichols, 22-year-old woman from Pasadena, was murdered on Feb. 5.
The suspect is seen in the video walking up the stairs of the Quality Inn on Westminster Boulevard at about 3 p.m. Feb. 5, while wearing a hooded sweatshirt and vaping. He leaves a short time later. Nichols was killed, according to police investigators, during that time period. Continue reading

On Sunday, March 11, 2018, at 9:17 PM, Santa Ana Police officers responded to reports of a burglary alarm at K-V Engineering, located at 2411 West 1st Street. An employee of the business was remotely monitoring the location via surveillance system. The employee reported to police that an unknown male was on the property.
The first officer on scene observed a male jumping a fence out of the property and on to the sidewalk of West 1st Street. The suspected burglar ran from the officer prompting a foot pursuit. The officer caught up to the suspect at the entrance to a nearby business and a physical altercation ensued. Continue reading

The four clowns on the current Santa Ana City Council majority are going to try again to illegally place a district election measure on the June Primary Election ballot this Monday, at a last minute special City Council meeting set at 1:30 p.m.
The agenda for this meeting notes that this will be a conference with legal counsel regarding a threat or anticipated/potential litigation. Well that is true as the City Council majority got caught violating the Brown Act last week as they secretly texted each other to discuss the special meeting that was supposed to be held on Friday. Brian Jose Miguel, a 23-year-old alleged gangbanger, was sentenced to 35 years to life in prison on Friday for the shooting death of Jimmy Hernandez, a 15-year-old boy, who was riding a bicycle in Santa Ana, according to the O.C. Register.
Miguel was looking at life in prison until he pleaded guilty last year to second-degree murder for the 2012 fatal shooting of Hernandez in the 2000 block of West Myrtle Street. Continue reading
