Advisory: Detectives Investigating Homicide – 4200 Block West Fay Circle
On Saturday, July 29, 2017 at approximately 10:24 PM, the Santa Ana Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at the 4200 block of West Fay Circle in the city of Santa Ana.

Apparently, the California Endowment which funds many of the community group activists in Santa Ana has also given Kidworks over $250,000 in recent years. No wonder Councilman Benavides votes with the activists all the time! He is the nonprofit’s executive director and his salary is paid from their “charity” donors…including the California Endowment.

The OC Fair Express continues to attract higher weekend ridership than previous years
ORANGE – Since the express bus service to the OC Fair began in 2011, more fair-goers have continued to discover how the OC Fair Express provides a convenient, stress-free ride to and from the OC Fair.
After its first two weekends of service this year, ridership on the Orange County Transportation Authority’s OC Fair Express has grown 36 percent compared to last year. Nearly 30,000 people so far this summer have taken the express service, saving time and money along the way. Continue reading
Caltrans crews that were doing landscaping work near the 4th Street on-ramp to the 55 Freeway north found a decomposing body on Thursday, July 27, according to the O.C. Register.
The Tustin police reported that the dead body appeared to be that of a man. They do not feel that the death was due to a homicide but are conducting an investigation. Continue reading
The Orange County District Attorney’s Office has cleared Detective David Prewett, an SAPD police officer who shot and killed Steve Salgado, an unarmed 18-year-old, who was running from members of the Santa Ana Police Department’s Gang Suppression Unit, according to the O.C. Register.
The incident happened on Jan. 29, at around 4:40 p.m., at the 400 block of South Birch St., in Santa Ana, when Prewett and five other SAPD police officers were patrolling the neighborhood when the saw an occupied vehicle parked in the middle of an alley, effectively blocking street traffic. On Monday, July 24, 2017, at approximately 8:30 p.m., the suspect enters the Jack in the Box located at 820 N. Harbor Blvd., brandishes a handgun, and hands a note to the employee demanding money. The victim handed the suspect cash. The suspect was last seen running from the location.
Jack in the Box is the third robbery of fast food restaurants in the last seven days that occurred on Harbor Blvd (1st – 101 S. Harbor Blvd. – El Pollo Loco and 2nd – 666 S. Harbor Blvd. – McDonald’s). The suspect is believed to be the same suspect in robberies throughout Orange County. Continue reading
The SAPD is investigating the suspicious death of an unidentified homeless man in his 60s whose dead body was found on Tuesday, July 25, at around 7:35 a.m., on a sidewalk in downtown Santa Ana, near the 4th Street Market and Playground restaurant, at the 400 block of North Bush Street, according to the O.C. Register.
The victim had sustained a head wound. The police do not yet know if he fell or was pushed from a nearby parking structure or if he was attacked. Continue reading

Advisory: SAPD Missing Person Detectives Asking For Assistance in Locating 55 Year-Old Male
On 07/13/17 Salvador Ortiz Plascencia, a 55-year old male, was involved in a verbal argument with his adult son at their residence located in the area of 1600 N. Parton Street in Santa Ana. Plascencia walked out of the residence and was last seen walking north on Parton Street. He has not been seen or heard from since that day.
