We reported a fire yesterday near 17th and Santiago. It turned out to be a residential fire at a home located at the 1800 block of Poinsettia, that started at about 2:35 p.m., according to the O.C. Register.

On September 13, 2018 Denise Latta entered a local bar in Tustin. She approached the victim and a bartender while presenting a badge similar to those worn by law enforcement officers. Latta then forced the victim to produce an identification card and cut the ID into several pieces. Both the bartender and the victim believed Latta was some sort of law enforcement.
Latta then forced the victim to leave the bar. Once outside, Latta forced the victim to put her hands on a wall and spread her feet. Latta then searched the victim, touching her breast and groin area over the clothing. Latta then told the victim that she wasn’t going to arrest her and told her to leave and never come back to the bar. Continue reading
In case you are wondering what has been going on today on S. Grand Ave., it turns out that at approximately 2:20 a.m. this morning a car accident described as a “mass casualty incident” occurred at S. Grand and E. McFadden, according to the OC Fire Authority.

Santa Ana residents are invited to volunteer for a special Tree-Planting event with the City’s Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Agency, at Centennial Park (3000 West Edinger Avenue) on Saturday, December 1st from 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM.
We will plant 13 African Fern trees along parking lot that is closest to lake, next to main entrance on its right. As these trees grow, they will provide shade for parked cars and for walking on adjacent sidewalk on hot sunny days. Continue reading

I-405 Set to Close Overnight Saturday in Westminster
A full freeway closure is planned in both direction from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m. on Dec. 1 near Bolsa Chica Road/Valley View Street
ORANGE – I-405 through Westminster is scheduled to fully close from approximately 11 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1, to 8 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2, as part of the I-405 Improvement Project.
The full freeway closure, along with an overnight closure of the Bolsa Chica Road bridge, is necessary to demolish half of the bridge over I-405. The bridge will be demolished and reconstructed in two stages, allowing it to remain open to traffic during construction. Continue reading

On 10-13-2018 SAPD released information/video requesting the media and community’s assistance in identifying a female suspect wanted in an assault that occurred on 10/27/18 at approximately 11:00 PM, at the McDonalds located in the 1500 Block of North Bristol Street.
After doing the story with numerous media outlets, Detectives received numerous tips leading them to the identity and location of the suspect wanted in this assault. Based on the information provided Detectives were able to obtain a $15,000 arrest warrant for suspect, Mayra Berenice Gallo (24) of Santa Ana. Continue reading
