Chad Hammitt, the SAUSD’s Assistant Superintendent in charge of Personnel Services has quit, after 16 years in Santa Ana, not long after SAUSD Superintendent Thelma Melendez de Santa Ana announced her retirement.
Hammitt is joinin the Saugus district. He grew up in Ventura and is in the process of earning his doctorate in education from the University of Southern California, according to the Santa Clarita Valley Signal.
Hammitt will start his new job in June – right around when Melendez de Santa Ana will be retiring.
Sources tell me that Hammitt, who is supposedly a good guy, may be getting out before the SAUSD completely implodes. I am told that something big is brewing and a very huge scandal may be on the verge of breaking at the SAUSD.
A big loss to Santa Ana!
A Big Gain for Santa Ana!!!! I feel bad for that District to hire a person with not ethic and lier!!!!! SAUSD has had the worst HR in the entire nations with Mr. Chad
Wow, this is crazy.
And it is going to get even crazier…
Couldn’t agree with you more! He’s ruined lots of people’s lives am
I was a school counselor at Carr Intermediate in 2010-2011. Chad Hammit is one big Liar!!! He stated to me that he would make sure that he would look into an unfair practice of hiring and call me back. Never looked into it and never called me back. The counselor at Godinez High School had her temporary contract turned into probationary in the middle of the school year where mine wasn’t. So, I was bumped and left to the curb after putting long hours and devoting my hard work into that school!!! That’s ok, I found another counseling job and the greenery is here at Canyon Lake Middle in Lake Elsinore. Chad’s departure is what HR needs!!!!
He is pretty bad that entire district is horrible. I would look at the facilities department they needed to hire a budget manager after spending about 3/4 of the bond money, seems to me they are nervous where money was going and for what?
