Dana Hills High School Teacher Arrested for Child Molestation and Pornography
DANA POINT, Calif. – (May 4, 2015) – On Monday, May 04, 2015, Ezequiel Barragan, 48, Aliso Viejo, was arrested following allegations of child molestation and possession of child pornography. (Editor’s Note – Barragan reportedly was a teacher at Santa Ana High School where he also was a varsity baseball coach).
On Monday, May 04, 2015, the Orange County Child Exploitation Task Force (OCCETF) was notified by a United States Postal Service (USPS) agent regarding an ongoing child pornography investigation. Barragan has been the target of a USPS investigation resulting in discovery of information that he also engaged in sexual relations with a male juvenile over the last two years. Family of Missing Woman Offers $5K Reward
SANTA ANA, Calif. – (April 22, 2015) – The family of Erica Alonso, missing since February 15, 2015, has offered a $5K reward for information leading to her whereabouts. Alonso went missing early on the morning of Sunday, February 15, 2015, after leaving her boyfriend’s house in the city of Irvine. She is believed to have driven away in her 2014 Honda Civic, which has since been located in the city of Aliso Viejo, approximately one mile from her residence.
Alonso’s family has remained hopeful and active in support of investigators’ efforts to distribute information about the missing person case. Over the course of the last several weeks the family has raised funds to be able to offer a reward. After raising approximately $3K, an Orange County Sheriff’s Department reserve deputy donated the final $2K in order to reach the $5K goal. Continue reading→

Vehicle Belonging to Missing Person Located
SANTA ANA, Calif. – (March 25, 2015) – On Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at approximately 2:00 p.m., Orange County Sheriff’s deputies located a white 2014 Honda Civic EX, California license plate #7FSS563 in the area of Cedarbrook and Redwood, Aliso Viejo in the Glenwood Park neighborhood. The vehicle belongs to Erica Alonso, 27, Laguna Hills, a reported missing person since Sunday, February 15, 2015.
Alonso was reported missing by her family after she was last seen leaving her boyfriend’s house in the city of Irvine. Orange County Sheriff’s Department investigators have been actively pursuing leads and information since the report of Alonso’s disappearance. Continue reading→

SANTA ANA – Law enforcement is seeking the public’s help identifying potential additional victims of a chief executive officer of a publicly traded company located in Irvine charged with sexually assaulting minors and possessing child pornography. Qayed Murtaza Shareef, 39, Aliso Viejo, the founder and CEO of Adaptive Media, was charged today with 30 felony counts of lewd acts with a child under 14, one felony count of using a minor for sex acts, one felony count of distributing pornography to a minor, one felony count of possession or control of child pornography, with a sentencing enhancement for substantial sexual conduct with a child under 14 years old and committing lewd acts upon multiple victims. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of 752 years to life in state prison. He is being held on $2 million bail and is scheduled to be arraigned this afternoon, Jan. 23, 2015, in Department CJ-1, Central Jail, Santa Ana. The time is to be determined.
On multiple occasions between Dec. 25, 2013, and Dec. 29, 2013, Shareef is accused of contacting 10-year-old John Doe #1 and 9-year-old John Doe #2 using an online application called Tango. The defendant is accused of connecting to the program using a fake name of Jeremy Stevens. Continue reading→

Apologetic Bandit arrested
LAKE FOREST, Calif. – (February 3, 2014) – On Friday, January 31, 2014, Orange County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Farhad Sharifi, 19, Aliso Viejo, on suspicion of committing numerous robberies over the course of the last 12-14 months. NEWPORT BEACH – Law enforcement is seeking the public’s help identifying potential additional victims of a caregiver accused of sexually assaulting a 66-year-old disabled woman. Robert Dumlao Ligayo, 62, Aliso Viejo, was charged today with one felony count of sexual penetration by foreign object by force. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of eight years in state prison and mandatory lifetime sex offender registration. He is being held on $100,000 bail and is scheduled for a pre-trial hearing on June 26, 2013, at 8:30 a.m. in Department H-1, Harbor Justice Center, Newport Beach. Continue reading→
