Santa Ana Police Department
The Sprint store located at 3611 South Bristol Street has been the victim of five separate commercial burglaries. The first burglary in this series occurred on November 24th, 2016, and the fifth this morning February 14th, 2017.
Each of these crimes was captured on the business’ video surveillance system and occurred between the hours of 4:00 and 6:00 a.m. In each of the cases it appears one or both of the suspects participated in the burglary. Continue reading
Maria Sanchez-Avalos
The Garden Grove Police Department arrested a couple from Santa Ana, 27-year-old Salvador Beltran and 23-year-old Maria Sanchez-Avalos, on suspicion of breaking into at least 20 cars in Garden Grove since May, on Friday, according to the O.C. Register.
The couple is suspected in a number of vehicle burglaries in the parking lots of a 24 Hour Fitness gym on Chapman Avenue and an LA Fitness on Valley View Street, according to the GGPD.
Investigators say the couple allegedly took wallets, purses, cellphones and credit cards from cars of people working out at the gyms. Sanchez-Avalos is apparently Beltran’s common-law wife. Continue reading

Community Alert: Press Release – Three Residential Burglary Suspects Arrested
On Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at approximately 2:17 p.m., a resident called the Newport Beach Police Department’s Dispatch Center to report a Residential Burglary in Progress in the 200 block of Evening Canyon Road. The resident had just returned home and found two unknown male Hispanics inside his residence. The men exited the home, entered a white Kia sedan, and fled the scene along with a subject who had been waiting in the car. The vehicle was last seen travelling northbound on Evening Canyon Road.
Newport Beach Dispatchers immediately notified Newport Beach and Laguna Beach officers of the vehicle and suspect descriptions. HB1, the Huntington Beach Police Department’s helicopter, also responded to offer air support. Continue reading

Deputies Arrest Two Suspects in Residential Burglary Following 911 Call
ROSSMOOR, Calif. – (July 28, 2014) – On Monday, July 21, 2014, Orange County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residential burglary in-progress in the Rossmoor community. As deputies arrived, two male subjects fled on foot from the rear of the residence, jumping over fences onto the property of adjacent homes in the neighborhood. After coordination of responding deputies, two male juveniles were detained and taken into custody for residential burglary.
The informant to the Sheriff’s Department was a 14 year-old female who was inside the residence when the two male juveniles attempted to make entry through several doors and windows. The 14 year-old hid inside a bedroom closet and called 911, providing dispatchers with information about what was occurring, ultimately leading to arrests of the two suspects. The quick actions and calm demeanor demonstrated by the young informant led to an immediate response and arrest of the suspects. Continue reading
The Santa Ana Police Department is investigating two commercial smash and grab burglaries. The Santa Ana Police Department is requesting public’s assistance in identifying the suspects.
A total of four suspects committed these burglaries in a similar fashion each time; entering a business usually during lunchtime hours with hammers. All three suspects usually wear hooded sweatshirts. One suspect breaks the display cases while the other two suspects follow and remove property from the display cases. The suspects are in and out in less than a minute while a driver waits in a newer model black Honda Civic with tinted windows.
Although the suspects attempt to conceal their faces, video may have captured enough to identify them. If a member of the public recognizes the suspects, please call the Santa Ana Police Department Investigations Bureau at (714) 245-8345.
