Community: Santa Ana to Release $769k in Community Development Block Grant Funding for Nonprofits

The City of Santa Ana will release an estimated $769,151 of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to Nonprofits for the provision of public services.

The City receives an annual allocation of CDBG funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to address a wide range of unique community development needs. Continue reading→

One of our readers paid attention the other night when the Santa Ana City Council was deciding how to spend their Community Development Block Grant money.  Kidworks, a non-profit organization that recently hired Santa Ana Councilman David Benavides, asked for $45,000 in CDBG grants and the City Council gave them $56,000!
