The Hope Alive Perfect Harmony Concert is set for November 15, 2015, at 6 pm, at the Bill Medley Auditorium, located at Santa Ana High School, at 520 W. Walnut St., in Santa Ana.

This event supports keeping music in the schools by raising funds for music education in Santa Ana. This benefit concert brings the diversity of our community together for an evening of music exploration around the globe as world-class musicians are paired with aspiring youth artists from diverse backgrounds.

Music students from Willard Intermediate, Santa High School, and the surrounding community will have the rare opportunity to perform on stage in a symphony led and directed by local conductors Ammy Beltran, Reggie Goodjoin, Lesa Terry, Joseph Kaye and Victor De Los Santos. This eclectic mix of conductors and music instructors with varying styles and backgrounds expose the youth artists to a variety of musical genres and cultures that they do not learn in their regular school music programs. SANTA ANA – Just over one week to go and the support keeps growing as new sponsors sign on to stand up against human exploitation and trafficking for the Orange County District Attorney’s Office (OCDA) “Keep Calm and Beat H.E.A.T. Rocking & Rally.” The event will be held Sept. 9, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Twila Reid Park, 3100 West Orange Avenue, Anaheim. The 4th Annual Park Santiago’s Concert in the Park is set for Saturday, August 24, 2013, from 4:00 pm until 11:00 pm, at the Santiago Park Baseball Diamond, located at 601 E Memory Ln., in Santa Ana. This is a family friendly neighborhood Concert in the Park hosted by the Park Santiago Neighborhood Association, and open to everyone!

The awesome local cover band Cheap Date will be performing. Cheap Date includes Mary Walters (who is married to our former Chief of Police and City Manager Paul Walters) and her family – including Ellen Hirota, backup and occasional lead vocalist; Tim Hirota, lead guitarist, vocalist and manager; Peter Hirota, drummer; Ann “Annie” Spencer, backup vocalist and tambourine; and Dominic Hirota, lead vocalist, as well as longtime band members second guitarist Jeff Halili and bassist Brian Satterfield, according to the O.C. Legendary U.S. metal band Malice to play at Malone’s on July 14

Legendary U.S. metal band Malice is going to be playing at Malone’s, in Santa Ana, on July 14, as they promote their brand New Album “New Breed of Godz” Out now on Steamhammer/SPV. Listen to a new song from Malice entitled “New Breed of Godz” HERE.

Malice signed a worldwide deal with SPV / Steamhammer. Original members Jay Reynolds (guitars), Mick Zane (guitars) and Mark Behn (bass) entered the Silver Cloud Studios in Los Angeles together with new singer James Rivera (Helstar) and new drummer Pete Holmes (Black N´Blue) to re-record some of their classics plus 4 new songs. The producer is Joe Floyd (Warrior) who also was involved in producing records of Bruce Dickinson and Rob Halford. The album is scheduled for a May 2012 release. “We were all amazed at the great crowd responce and turn out for the gigs we played in 2011 , and it feels great to have a well known label like SPV behind us, be in the studio with a veteran line up and have a killer producer…… there will no longer be an abscence of MALICE !!” comments Jay Reynolds. The band can`t wait to go on tour and dates will be announced soon. Bass player Robert Cardenas (Agent Steel) , who also recorded the new tracks in the studio, will step in for Mark Behn on the live front. Continue reading→

Event: New Hope Presbyterian Church in Orange announces its third annual benefit concert to increase music programs in the Santa Ana Unified School District (SAUSD), with particular emphasis on Willard Intermediate School. Proceeds will fund music enrichment programs, which have been limited or eliminated by budget cuts to education due to the State’s fiscal crisis. This event will be sponsored by the Madison Park Neighborhood Association (co-sponsored by The City of Santa Ana, Casas Guanajuato-Santa Ana and UC Irvine-Chicanos/Latinos for Community Medicine) with the participation of the surrounding neighborhoods.

The event will take place on Saturday, August 14, 2010. We will kick off the day with a neighborhood “Walk-A-Thon” from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 am and immediately followed by the Festival & Concert from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Madison Park in Santa Ana, 1528 S. Standard Ave. Over forty participants will offer information on health prevention programs, health screenings, education, job training and placement, youth programs, safety, citizenship, transportation, legal aid and human services.
