Santa Ana Police Department Advisory: Police Arrest Serial Robbery Suspect
On Sunday October 6th at approximately 11 pm patrol officers contact suspect on a bike wearing a back pack in the 100 Block East Dyer. When the officer contacts suspect Dennis Adamson (24) he advises officer that he had a handgun in his backpack. Officer also located Two- Black ski masks. Adamson matched the description of a robbery suspect who had committed two (2) armed robberies of commercial businesses in the area. Continue reading→

The Vargas family of Santa Ana’s jewelry business was hit twice by burglars within one week in September. In the most recent theft, $100,000 worth of jewelry was taken, from the Vargas family business located at the Santa Ana Mini Mall, according to ABC News.
Photos show how the thieves entered through the roof of the indoor swap meet, sawing through the ceiling. The burglars then cut through the wall of a neighboring vendor to reach the Vargas’ safe. Continue reading→

TWO MEN CONVICTED FOR APPROACHING WOMEN TO ENGAGE IN COMMERCIAL SEX
WESTMINSTER – Two men were convicted and sentenced yesterday, Oct. 3, 2013, for approaching women to engage in commercial sex. Adam Cisneros, 33, and Oulayvanh Khitthiphong, 34, both from Garden Grove, pleaded guilty yesterday to one misdemeanor count of loitering with intent to commit prostitution. Both defendants were sentenced to three years of informal probation, 10-20 days in jail with the possibility of CalTrans in lieu of jail, and must submit to AIDS testing and education. Khitthiphong must also make a donation to the Victim/Witness Emergency Fund. Continue reading→

SANTA ANA – A man was sentenced today to 31 years to life in state prison for the beating-murder of his girlfriend’s sister’s 18-month-old daughter and abusing another child in a similar way in 2009. Juan Carlos Aguilar, 27, Santa Ana, was found guilty by a jury Aug. 5, 2013, of one felony count of murder, one felony count of assault on a child with force likely to produce great bodily injury resulting in death, and two felony counts of child abuse.
In July 2011, Aguilar lived in a Santa Ana apartment with his girlfriend, their 3-year-old daughter, his girlfriend’s sister, and her 18-month-old daughter Megan Rodriguez. Continue reading→

SEX PURCHASER CONVICTED FOR SOLICITING SEX FROM WOMAN WHOM HE BELIEVED TO BE PROSTITUTE
SANTA ANA – A sex purchaser was convicted and sentenced today for soliciting sex from a woman whom he believed to be a prostitute. Manuel De Jesus Monzon, 41, Riverside, pleaded guilty today to one misdemeanor count of agreeing to engage in prostitution. Monzon was sentenced to three years of informal probation, 10 days in jail with the possibility of CalTrans in lieu of jail, and must submit to AIDS testing and education. Continue reading→
