On Monday, 11/21/2016 at 3:15 pm, a male Hispanic entered the M & Toi Café , located at 4702 W. 1st St., in Santa Ana, and sat down at the bar. After several minutes the male appeared to text unknown person(s) and approximately a minute later, two male suspects wearing bandanas to cover their faces entered the business armed with a handgun and a knife. The suspects demanded the female victim to open the register. The lone male Hispanic seated at the bar then walked around the back of the counter, removed the money from the register and fled along with the two armed suspects. The loss was US Currency. Suspect: Male White or Hispanic, 21-25 years old, black hair, medium build, 5’ 7” -5’ 9” tall, wearing dark sunglasses, white t-shirt, dark colored shorts and blue athletic shoes
Synopsis: On 10/13/2016 at 6:50 a.m., the suspect enters the 76 gas station and demands that the victim give him money from the cash register. After the victim refuses, the suspect begins to yell, “Give me the money, bitch!” then jumps over the display table while waving a black knife at her. The suspect chases the victim out of the business through a rear exit then returns. He physically rips the cash deposit box/till from the table, enters a newer model Kia Forte and flees the scene. Suspect arrested in string of Orange County storage-unit burglaries and mail thefts
Irvine Police arrest suspect in storage-unit burglaries, seek possible victims of identity theft
Irvine, Calif. (Nov. 21, 2016) – The Irvine Police Department (IPD) has arrested Lorena Guadalupe Arreguin in connection with a string of storage-unit burglaries and mail thefts that have occurred from May through November of this year.
Arreguin and at least two other suspects are believed to have stolen mail from North Tustin, Newport Beach, Laguna Woods and Costa Mesa. The suspects are further accused of using other people’s identities to obtain storage units, then committing burglaries at those locations. The suspects have taken paperwork including bills, credit cards and more, and have attempted to open credit accounts using the stolen information. There have been more than 20 such storage-unit burglaries in Irvine, Santa Ana and possibly other cities. Continue reading

Dennis Keith Rodman, 55, Newport Beach, is charged with one misdemeanor count of hit and run with property damage, one misdemeanor count of driving a motor vehicle across a dividing section, one misdemeanor count of giving false information to a police officer, and one misdemeanor count of driving a motor vehicle without a valid license. If convicted, the defendant faces a maximum sentence of two years in county jail. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Jan. 20, 2017, in Department C-54, Central Justice Center, Santa Ana. SANTA ANA, Calif. – A Colorado man was sentenced to three years in state prison today for pandering a 17-year-old girl in Orange County. Jovon Andrew Williams, 21, Denver, Colo., pleaded guilty on Oct. 13, 2016, to one felony count of pandering.
Co-defendant Jahsee Elan Brewster, 33, Denver, Colo., and Clifton Haralson, 34, Long Beach, were each found guilty by a jury on Nov. 16, 2016, of one felony count of human trafficking of a minor, one felony count of pimping a minor, one felony count of pandering by procuring, and one felony count of carrying a loaded unregistered firearm in public. The defendants face a maximum of 12 years and eight months in state prison at their sentencing on Dec. 16, 2016, at 9:00 a.m. in Department C-36, Central Justice Center, Santa Ana. Continue reading
A man was seriously injured in a shooting in Santa Ana on Saturday night
A 29-year old unidentified man was seriously wounded in a shooting Friday night in Santa Ana, at an unknown address, just before 9 p.m., according to the O.C. Register.

SANTA ANA, Ca. (November 17, 2016) – Investigators from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department (OCSD) are warning the community of an ongoing scam and asking for the public’s assistance in locating two suspects.
Clinton Charles Rose, 35, and Lauren Marie Conkey, 23, have been identified as suspects in a number of auto and identity theft cases. Rose and Conkey are suspected of contacting victims through various web sites to purchase vehicles from private party sellers. They contact the victim, present fictitious checks and identification, and then take possession of the vehicle. They are suspected of then falsifying documents to resell the stolen vehicle to another victim. Continue reading
The SAPD arrested a man after he fled in a stolen car and slammed into a police car
An unidentified man who was fleeing from the police crashed into a police vehicle today in Santa Ana, according to the O.C. Register.
The incident began near the Civic Center today at around 3:30 p.m., when police officers tried to pull the vehicle over for traffic violation. That is when the driver sped off. Continue reading
The OCDA gets a $1M grant to take the lead in fighting driving under the influence of drugs

SANTA ANA, Calif. – The Orange County District Attorney’s Office (OCDA) has been designated the lead training agency in the area of drug-impaired driving through the acceptance of a $1,078,044 grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) for the Vertical Prosecution Program. The year-long grant will be used to expand the specialized team of prosecutors focused on driving under the influence of drugs (DUID) cases in all regions of Orange County. OCDA will also serve as the lead agency in the newly established Southern California Traffic Safety Training Network (SoCal Training Net), which involves a training collaboration between the OCDA, Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office, Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, San Bernardino District Attorney’s Office, San Diego City Attorney’s Office, San Diego County District Attorney’s Office, Riverside County District Attorney’s Office, and Ventura County District Attorney’s Office. Santa Ana woman who tattooed her face to hide from the cops heading to prison
Tracy Clapp, a 36-year old Santa Ana woman, found out today that she is heading to prison for six years, for running over and killing Christopher Chavez, a 26-year old Santa Ana high school band teacher in a hit and run crash on April 20, according to the O.C. Register.
Clapp ran over Chavez as he was walking in a crosswalk at Bristol Street and Central Ave. at around 2:15 a.m. SAPD police investigators said that Clapp ran a red light, in her SUV, when she hit Chavez. She then took off after she saw that he was injured. Continue reading
