Santa Ana, CA – Demonstrating his potent force in the race for the Santa Ana Unified School District Board race, Bruce Bauer, currently the Vice-Chair of the City of Santa Ana Planning Commission collected a major statewide endorsement from California’s State Treasurer John Chiang.

John Chiang is currently the Treasurer for the State of California and was elected to that position in 2014. Prior to Treasurer, John Chiang was the Controller for the State of California for the period from 2006 to 2014. He is widely regarded for his work both as the State Controller and Treasurer. A new high school is coming to Santa Ana, and its founders are seeking community input to shape it. La Escuela Freire is holding a town hall meeting Thursday, September 29, 4:30-6:00 p.m., at Centro Comunitario de Educación, 216 N. Broadway, in Santa Ana. Public input is welcome, especially from prospective parents, students, and teachers.

La Escuela Freire Academy for Culture, Leadership, and Civic Engagement hopes to work with Santa Ana Unified School District officials to plan the school, which intends to employ mostly current SAUSD employees. But since the district did not announce the visit, we have no idea what these folks are doing in China.

ORANGE, CA – The Faculty Association of the Rancho Santiago CCD (FARSCCD) announced today that faculty voted to support Matthew Schauer (Area 1); Thomas Anthony Gordon (Area 3); Cecilia “Ceci” Aguinaga (Area 5) and Rudy Diaz (Area 7).

In the Santa Ana Unified School District board race, with three seats open, candidate Bruce Bauer challenged fellow Santa Ana Planning Commissioner Mark McLoughlin’s designation as “Educator/Business Owner,” according to the O.C. Register.

The Orange County Registrar of Voters upheld Bauer’s challenge, and McLoughlin changed his designation to “Education Business Advisor.” Continue reading→

Zeke Hernandez is lying to the voters by pretending to be an Adult Education Director

Zeke Hernandez, a candidate for Area 1 of the Rancho Santiago Community College District, is trying to pull a fast one, using the ballot title of “Adult Education Director.” That is a complete falsehood!

Hernandez admitted in a letter he wrote to the Rancho Santiago Community College District’s Chancellor, just last year, to being retired. That letter was part of Hernandez’ application to the Measure Q Bond Oversight Committee.

Furthermore  the application Hernandez completed to serve on the RSCCD Measure Q Bond committee states an applicant cannot be a district vendor. However during interviews this Monday with the current Rancho Santiago Community College District Trustees, it emerged that Hernandez is the chief executive of a district contractor, according to the Voice of OC.
