Santa Ana has a new business association called Adelsa (Asociacion de Empresarios Latinos de Santa Ana). It is a nonprofit association that is dedicated to the prosperity of its members. They plan to work together to create a strong economy in the Latino community.
I attended one of their meetings, in November of last year. Their members are involved in quite a variety of businesses, from print shops to supermarkets to security guard services and restaurants. SAUSD Trustee John Palacio was one of their special guests that evening.
Efrain Nuño is their President. He is in the grocery business. Mike Gonzalez, who once ran for the SAUSD School Board, is a Board Member of Adelsa. Gonzalez owns a Restaurant and a Security Guard company.
Their purpose:
- Members will support each other.
- Members will promote each other’s businesses in the community.
- Members will get involved with local politics and government.
- And members will have the opportunity to promote their business to the other members.
Their goals:
To help you grow as a person, businessman and human being. The Association is constantly looking for effective ways to support your business so it can grow at a professional level.
