Shortly before 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Santa Ana police tried to stop a vehicle for various violations including no license plate and no seatbelts, according to NBC News.
The driver, a documented gang member who was later identified as Jesus Arturo Martinez, refused to pull over so the police began to pursue his vehicle on local streets at speeds that topped 90 mph.
