SANTA ANA, Calif. – A former boyfriend is scheduled to be arraigned today for stabbing and murdering a man and kidnapping and stabbing his ex-girlfriend. Teodoro Bernal Nunez, 38, Los Angeles, is charged with one felony count of murder, one felony count of domestic battery causing injury with a prior conviction of domestic battery causing injury (Case #15CM12210), one felony count of kidnapping, one misdemeanor count of violation of a protective order, and sentencing enhancements for personal use of a deadly weapon, and great bodily injury involving domestic violence. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of 41 years and four months to life in state prison. The People will request Nunez be held without bail at his arraignment today, June 21, 2016, in Department CJ-1, Central Jail, Santa Ana. The time is to be determined. Continue reading

SPEAKERS: Ryan and Richard Girgis’ mother was murdered in 2004. Magdi Girgis, their father, was found guilty by a jury and sentenced to life in state prison without the possibility of parole for the 2004 solicitation-murder of his wife.
Prior to the murder, Magdi Girgis had a pending domestic violence case against him related to assaulting his wife, 55-year-old Ariet Girgis. A restraining order was issued, Ariet Girgis intended to divorce the defendant, and Magdi Girgis moved out of the couple’s Westminster home. Continue reading
On October 15th , 2013, a traffic collision involving a vehicle and a woman pushing a shopping cart occurred at the intersection of 4th Street and Lacy Street in Santa Ana.
The pedestrian was rushed off to the Western Medical Center in Santa Ana in extremely critical condition. For the duration of the investigation, officers were unable to determine the woman’s identity. Her fingerprints were compared in all local, state, and federal identification databases, which did not return with any matches. The woman did not match the description of any outstanding missing persons in Santa Ana. Continue reading

SANTA ANA – A man is scheduled to be arraigned today for fleeing the scene of an accident which led to the death of his girlfriend on Halloween night and endangering a 13-month-old girl. Francisco Javier Montano, 21, Irvine, is charged with one felony count of hit and run with permanent injury or death, one felony count of child abuse and endangerment, and one misdemeanor count of driving without a valid license. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of seven years in state prison and six months in jail. He is being held on $200,000 bail and is scheduled to be arraigned this afternoon in Department CJ-1, Central Jail, Santa Ana. The time is to be determined.
At approximately 8:00 p.m. on Oct 31, 2013, Montano is accused of driving a Toyota RAV4 eastbound near 1600 West Edinger Avenue in Santa Ana with his 21-year-old girlfriend Gloria Sanchez and 13-month-old Jane Doe. Continue reading
