Matthew Granados
Matthew Jacob Granados, a 24-year-old man, was sentenced to nine years in prison for a baseball-bat assault that happened shortly after he was released from behind bars jail for manslaughter last year and also for an earlier scuffle with police, according to the O.C. Register.
Granados accidentally shot and killed a 16-year-old friend of his, Alex Ramirez, back in 2016. At the time Granados fled but he eventually turned himself into the police. Continue reading

MAN CHARGED WITH INVOLUNTARY MANSLAUGHTER AFTER TEEN WAS SHOT IN DEFENDANT’S HOME
*Defendant’s father was arraigned for making misleading statements to the police after the fact
SANTA ANA, Calif. – A man was charged today with involuntary manslaughter after a teen was shot in the defendant’s home. Matthew Jacob Granados, 21, Santa Ana, is charged with one felony count of involuntary manslaughter by a lawful act in an unlawful manner with a sentencing enhancement for the personal use of a firearm. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of 14 years in state prison. He is being held on $75,000 bail and is scheduled for a continued arraignment on Sept. 30, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. in Department CJ-1, Central Jail, Santa Ana. Continue reading
As we reported earlier today, 16-year old Alex Adrian Ramirez was shot to death late last night at the 3600 block of West Hazard Ave..
A witness told the police that indicated that he and Ramirez were standing to the front of the location when the shooting occurred. Morales stated he saw a dark colored, possibly 2 door vehicle and heard a single gunshot. Continue reading
