Advisory: Detectives asking for Media and public’s assistance identifying suspect in robbery series – same suspect in press release 09/08/17

Between the dates of 4/19/17 and 9/1/17, the above pictured suspect entered several locations and committed the armed robberies. The suspect is seen in each robbery wearing different style short-sleeve button down shirts and dark colored jeans. The suspect enters the business and covers the bottom portion of his face with a bandana.

The suspect’s face was captured on video during two separate occasions. The suspect appears very anxious during the robberies and aggressively brandishes a firearm at the victims. Continue reading→

Advisory: Detectives Requesting Assistance Identifying Metro PCS Robbery Suspect

Location: Metro PCS located at 2547 W. McFadden #A

Occurred 4/22/2017 at 7:45 p.m., the suspect described as a Male (White or Hispanic), 30-40 y/o, 5’5-5’7”, thin build, wearing a navy blue hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. The suspect pulled the hood of the sweatshirt over his head in an attempt to conceal his identity. The suspect points a handgun at store employees and demanded money. Employees provide the suspect with an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency which he takes and flees the business in a westbound direction on McFadden from the business. Continue reading→

MetroPCS Freedom Rings Tour Visits Los Angeles, Collecting Recycled Cell Phones to Benefit Cell Phone for Soldiers

Partnership aims to provide more calling funds for soldiers overseas

WHAT: The Freedom Rings Tour bus is visiting Los Angeles and accepting donations for Cell Phone for Soldiers, a non-profit organization that recycles old cell phones into prepaid calling cards for U.S. troops stationed overseas. MetroPCS’ partnership with Cell Phone for Soldiers is part of an initiative to ensure more cell phones are recycled so every soldier has means to call home.

Local residents can stop by the Freedom Rings Tour to drop off their old cell phones and learn more about MetroPCS and Huawei’s latest cell phones: the Huawei Ascend and Huawei M735.

Attendees will also have a chance to name a future Huawei cell phone and participate in several giveaways at the event.
