The City of Santa Ana announces the availability of approximately $493,000 in U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funding for nonprofit homeless service providers. These funds are provided to entitlement cities and counties annually on a formula basis to assist sheltered and unsheltered homeless persons, those at risk of homelessness, and to provide services necessary to help those persons to quickly regain stability in permanent housing after experiencing a housing crisis and/or homelessness.
The Orange County ESG Collaborative is releasing the ESG application to organizations that provide homeless prevention and rapid rehousing services, street outreach and operate emergency shelters. The Collaborative which was created to ensure that funds are leveraged to create maximum impact in Orange County, includes the County of Orange, City of Irvine, City of Anaheim, City of Santa Ana and City of Garden Grove.
