Community Alert: JOIN HONORARY CHAIR COUNCILMAN VINCENT SARMIENTO & CITY ELECTED OFFICIALS AT THE ANNUAL RELAY FOR LIFE OF SANTA ANA

SANTA ANA, CA (April 10, 2014) – Relay for Life officials gave Councilman Vincent Sarmiento the privilege of naming him honorary chair for this year’s relay. Councilman Sarmiento will join City Elected Officials and the American Cancer Society in honoring cancer survivors at the Opening Ceremony which will be held at the Santa Ana College Track on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 12 pm.

“It’s an honor to participate in the Relay once again. It’s important to come together as a community to celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, to inspire others to continue the fight and to remind everyone that fighting cancer is a year round priority,” said Councilman Sarmiento. Kickoff event for the Relay for Life of Santa Ana

Come join us as we kick off the 2011 Relay for Life season in Santa Ana, this Friday, March 18, from 6:00pm – 8:00pm, at Original Mike’s, located at 100 South Main Street, in Santa Ana.

The Relay for Life is in May, but we want the community to get excited and start getting ready, so we’re hosting a kickoff party.

Enjoy hors d’oeuvres and refreshments on the patio, and meet the committee that is planning this year’s Relay. Check out a little of our past events and see what this year’s event will be.

Cancer Survivors, team members, and other members of the community who want to find out more about this event should plan to be there. Bring a friend.

The Relay for Life is the most important cancer awareness and fundraising event in the community, and we hope you’ll come and be a part of it.

Relay for Life of Santa Ana

The Relay for Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature event in communities around the country.

Relay for Life is a community event that brings people together for a couple of days, to raise awareness for the fight against cancer.

We depend on strong leaders from within the community to help make this happen, and volunteers from our schools and neighborhoods to put this event on. It’s an incredible experience to share with the people who surround you.

The 2010 Relay for Life of Santa Ana will be held on May 22 and 23, from noon Saturday til noon Sunday, at Santa Ana College. Continue reading→
