Santa Ana, CA – Makara Center for the Arts, the nonprofit library and art center, is launching FrankenRead 2018: Santa Ana Reads Frankenstein, a reading initiative to coincide with the 200th Anniversary of Mary Shelley’s classic novel. The citywide celebration begins on Wednesday, January 17 at the Santa Ana Senior Center, featuring a presentation by poet Luivette Resto, refreshments, art activities, and free Frankenstein book giveaways. Ballot proposition forum set for 9/15 at the Santa Ana Senior Center

The Downtown Neighborhood Association and other groups will hold a forum on ballot propositions facing California voters in the November election,” according to the O.C. Register.

Join the Salsa Step Aerobics class at the Santa Ana Senior Center, held on Monday and Wednesday, from 6:15 pm to 7:15 pm, at 424 W. 3rd Street, Santa Ana.

You can use aerobics as a way of developing and maintaining health and fitness. This course will stress the importance of cardiovascular and respiratory levels, and is suited to the needs of the individual student, considering age, and general health.

Instructor: Flor Hernandez
