Advisory: Crime Alert – Community Assistance Needed

Santa Ana Police Detectives are looking for a suspect that attempted to sexually assault an adult female in her home. The incident occurred On July 30th in the 3200 hundred block of south Main Street in Santa Ana. The victim was asleep in her living room and woke up at 2 a.m. after she heard a noise by the open front window. The victim looked towards the window and saw the suspect standing outside. The victim saw that the suspect had already removed the screen and he ordered the victim to come to the window while he simulated a handgun and threatened to shoot her. Continue reading→

The 2017 Santa Ana State of the City Breakfast is coming up on August 9, 2017, from 7:30 AM – 9:15 AM, at the Bowers Museum, located at 2002 N. Main St., in Santa Ana.

This event will feature Santa Ana Mayor Miguel Pulido, who will talk about how Santa Ana is doing. He usually joins his sons and his dad in performing a few traditional Mexican folks songs as well. Continue reading→

For the first time, the SAUSD will be hosting a Welcome Back to School Bash at the Santa Ana Public Schools Sports Complex on Saturday, August 5, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. to help their students prepare for the 2017-18 academic year.

During this fun-filled and educational event, students will receive free backpacks and school supplies, free health screenings, support with registration and enrolling in our district, free samples of food from Nutrition Services, and prizes and giveaways from La Ranchera 96.7 FM. (July 26, 2017) SANTA ANA – On the first day of school this year, every student in the seventh largest district in the state of California will take a solid pledge to stay in school until graduation day.

Monday, August 14, 2017, Santa Ana Unified District (SAUSD) will roll out an exciting new district-wide initiative that encourages every student to place a decided focus on the future. The community-wide campaign called “I Pledge” places emphasis on the year that students will graduate in order to send a powerful message to students and their families that Santa Ana Unified is committed to seeing them cross the stage to receive their diplomas. Advisory: Detectives Investigating Homicide – 4200 Block West Fay Circle

On Saturday, July 29, 2017 at approximately 10:24 PM, the Santa Ana Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at the 4200 block of West Fay Circle in the city of Santa Ana.

The OC Fair Express continues to attract higher weekend ridership than previous years

ORANGE – Since the express bus service to the OC Fair began in 2011, more fair-goers have continued to discover how the OC Fair Express provides a convenient, stress-free ride to and from the OC Fair.

A Santa Ana man died and two others passed out from a possible drug overdose this morning

The OCFA, SAPD and Orange County Sheriff’s Department have responded to the Villa Del Sol apartments  at the 800 block of South Fairview Street where one person has died, according to the Fountain Valley Patch.

The SAPD caught a man who fled from a car crash with a baby in his arms

An unidentified man reportedly ran from SAPD police officers, after a car crash, and jumped over several fences while holding a baby in his arms, before he abandoned the baby and hid in a house, according to the O.C. Register.

The car crash happened at 7:40 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25, at the intersection of Bristol Street and Warner Avenue, according to the SAPD. Continue reading→

Advisory: Detectives Asking For Media And Public Assistance Identifying Suspect Involved In A Robbery Series

On Monday, July 24, 2017, at approximately 8:30 p.m., the suspect enters the Jack in the Box located at 820 N. Harbor Blvd., brandishes a handgun, and hands a note to the employee demanding money. The victim handed the suspect cash. The suspect was last seen running from the location.

Jack in the Box is the third robbery of fast food restaurants in the last seven days that occurred on Harbor Blvd (1st – 101 S. Harbor Blvd. – El Pollo Loco and 2nd – 666 S. Harbor Blvd. – McDonald’s). The suspect is believed to be the same suspect in robberies throughout Orange County. Continue reading→

A dead homeless man was found by the 4th Street Market in DTSA this morning

The SAPD is investigating the suspicious death of an unidentified homeless man in his 60s whose dead body was found on Tuesday, July 25, at around 7:35 a.m., on a sidewalk in downtown Santa Ana, near the 4th Street Market and Playground restaurant, at the 400 block of North Bush Street, according to the O.C. Register.

The victim had sustained a head wound. The police do not yet know if he fell or was pushed from a nearby parking structure or if he was attacked. Continue reading→

Advisory: SAPD Missing Person Detectives Asking For Assistance in Locating 55 Year-Old Male

On 07/13/17 Salvador Ortiz Plascencia, a 55-year old male, was involved in a verbal argument with his adult son at their residence located in the area of 1600 N. Parton Street in Santa Ana. Plascencia walked out of the residence and was last seen walking north on Parton Street. He has not been seen or heard from since that day.
