Every year, Hamlin hosts a celebration in the Guaranty Chevrolet showroom for nearly 816 eligible high school students. “The main reason we do this is to help the community. Protest over the closure of the Northeast Santa Ana Little League’s fields set for this evening
The parents at Northeast Santa Ana Little League (NESALL) will be conducting a protest today over the forced closure of their baseball fields by the SAUSD on Wednesday, March 21.
As we reported yesterday the SAUSD sent armed school police officers to stop the Little League games and ordered everyone, including about 60 baseball players, parents, friends and volunteers of the NESALL premises. Continue reading

SAUSD School Police abruptly shut down the Northeast Santa Ana Little League (NESALL) today – traumatizing the innocent children who were playing baseball at the field located next to Sierra Preparatory Academy.

A Santa Ana H.S. teacher reportedly marked students absent after the anti-gun walkout
One of our readers sent us a note today via Facebook alleging that Mr. Joe Penaflor, the boys soccer coach at Santa Ana High School, had marked all his students who participated in the anti-gun violence march on Wednesday absent from his class!
Our reader thought this was crazy because the SAUSD participated in the walk-out. She wondered why the SAUSD made phone calls to the parents letting them know about the pending walk-out. Valley High School was locked down this morning while the SAPD searched for a car theft suspect
Valley High School was locked down briefly this morning while the SAPD pursued three suspects who fled from the police, according to the O.C. Register.

Santa Ana man accused of molestation facing new charges of harassing a cheerleader
Manuel Nava, a 21-year-old man already facing charges on suspicion of molesting three children was charged Friday with suspicion of harassing a 17-year-old cheerleader at Century High School in Santa Ana, according to the O.C. Register.
The OCDA is prosecuting Nava for allegedly molesting two boys and a girl. One of the boys was 6-years-old and the other was 11. The girl was 14 when she was allegedly attacked by Nava. Continue reading

TUSD Accepting Student Transfer Requests for 2018-19 School Year
The Tustin Unified School District will accept transfer requests between Monday, January 22, at 8 a.m. and Friday, February 9, at 3 p.m. from elementary, middle and high school students for the 2018-19 school year.
Transfer requests can be made online from the TUSD website or on paper at TUSD’s Student Services Office. All applications submitted during the transfer period will be processed according to a random and unbiased process based on space availability. Notification of acceptance or denial will be sent this spring. Continue reading
