By now you have read about the ruckus in Santa Ana yesterday when there was a “after a confrontation between a large crowd and police officers Wednesday evening, in the area of West Camille Street,” according to the O.C. Register.
Shortly after 6 p.m. Wednesday, an Orange County Fire Authority crew responding to a medical call in the 3300 block of West Camille Street requested police assistance, telling dispatchers that two men were harassing them while they were trying to attend to a patient, Cmdr. Steve Colon said. As a result, three men and a juvenile were arrested, said Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna.
But hold the presses. The community is fighting back. Apparently the 17 year old who was arrested, Sergio Galan, is a 4.0 student who speaks English quite well. But the cops who beat him up and arrested him did not know that as they allegedly made anti-Mexican statements. Continue reading
