Man shot and wounded the day after a Rojas puff piece claimed crime is going down

Early this morning, shortly after midnight, Santa Ana police officers responded to the area of 1300 South Magnolia on a call of a shooting. Minutes later, an adult male victim arrived at a local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. A vehicle that was parked on Magnolia Street was struck by gunfire through the windshield.

Ironically, this comes the day after our overpaid (and oversexed) City Manager, David Cavazos, and our inept and inexperienced SAPD Police Chief Carlos Rojas released a ridiculous puff piece stating Santa Ana is one of the safest cities in the United States – yes, but that was way back in 2011! Councilman Benavides reportedly called the SAPD after a shooting by his home on Sunday night

Santa Ana City Council Member David Benavides apparently called the SAPD to report shots fired in the area of 700 S. Townsend, at Monte Vista, on Sunday, 8/28/16 at about 11:30 PM.

Benavides told the police that he heard three shots fired and a vehicle leaving the area. SAPD police officers responded to the area and conducted an area check through Townsend St. from Monte Vista to McFadden and the surrounding alleys. The officers were unable to locate a crime scene, victims or any suspects at this time. Continue reading→

Man shot and injured while standing in front of his residence on W. St. Gertrude

Last night another attempt murder shooting occurred at 1401 West St. Gertrude, in Santa Ana. An adult male (27 years of age) was standing in front of his residence when a vehicle drove by and fired several times striking the victim.

Incredibly, the victim drove himself to a hospital where he was then transported to another hospital’s trauma center where he is currently listed in stable condition. Continue reading→

A prostitute was picked up in Santa Ana then shot and wounded in Garden Grove

An unidentified 23-year-old woman from Victorville was shot in her left hip on Wednesday night, near West Washington Ave. and Bewley St., where she was working as a prostitute, according to the O.C. Register.

SAPD investigators spoke to the victim at a local hospital, where a friend took her for treatment, after 10:45 p.m., according to the SAPD. Continue reading→

A woman was caught in a gang crossfire on S. Standard this morning

On Sunday, August 21st, shortly after midnight a female driving in the area of 1100 South Standard was caught in the cross fire of a gang gun battle shooting.

As the gun battle occurred back and forth across a major street, the passing vehicle was struck. No one in the vehicle was injured and other parked vehicles were struck. Continue reading→

Bullets flew past a little girl tonight while the City Council said crime is going down

The entire Santa Ana City Council took turns lying tonight about how crime in our city is going down, during their televised City Council meeting. But the bad guys apparently weren’t watching the City Council meeting as yet another shooting happened even as the Council Members were blowing hot wind at their meeting.

This latest shooting happened at 1810 S. Evergreen, tonight at 6:45 p.m., which is to say when the sun was still up! When the SAPD police officers arrived they found a male adult shooting victim and his 2-year-old little girl. Continue reading→

A man was shot and wounded near West 1st St. and N. Raitt St. last night

There was another shooting on Monday, August 15, 2016, shortly after 7:30 p.m. at 2000 West 1st, in Santa Ana, near N. Raitt St.

A 23-year-old male Hispanic was walking in the area when an unknown vehicle approached from behind and a male suspect exited the car. The suspect fired several times at the victim. Continue reading→

There was another shooting today near Birch Park and S.A. High School

Early this morning at about 1 a.m., several 911 calls were made to the Santa Ana police department regarding a shooting at 400 South Birch.

Callers reported hearing several gunshots. A residence at 416 South Birch sustained a broken window and a vehicle also sustained a shattered windshield. Continue reading→

On Saturday, August 13, 2016, at 4:43 PM, SAPD Officers responded to a family disturbance on the 400 block of South Hesperian Street. As the Officers arrived near the scene of the call, they encountered a Hispanic male armed with a pistol. The suspect fired the pistol multiple times in the direction of the officers. Man shot at a female victim last night near Carr Intermediate School

SAPD police officers responded to the area of 2000 West Elder Ave., in Santa Ana, on a report of a shooting that had occurred shortly after midnight.

A female victim was located who said she was driving on Elder Street when a suspect exited his vehicle, in the middle of the street, and fired multiple times at her car. Thankfully the victim was not struck by the gunfire. Continue reading→

Man shot by a gangbanger near Lathrop Intermediate School

A man was shot last night after 10 p.m. when  he was sweeping a business parking lot in the 1100 block of South Main Street. He was confronted by a suspect who attempted to steal the victim’s bike and during the altercation, the victim was shot twice to the upper torso.

Top top it all off, during the incident the suspect declared his gang affiliation! The victim was transported to a local hospital for his injuries. Continue reading→

Why wasn’t the shooting of a security guard at Original Mike’s last night reported?

A security guard was shot at Original Mike’s last night, according to Derek J. Bordeaus’ Facebook page. Apparently the security guard was injured but is still alive.

For some reason the O.C. Register has not published an article about the shooting. Could it be that their new landlord, developer Mike Harrah, who founded Original Mike’s, put the kibosh on any reporting about this latest criminal incident at Original Mike’s? Continue reading→

A possible pellet gun attack took place on the 22 Fwy. on Wednesday night

An unknown suspect fired a projectile at a Honda vehicle as it was being driven on the westbound 22 Freeway, near the Harbor Blvd. off-ramp, just before midnight on Wednesday, according to the O.C. Register.

The projectile caused minor injuries to the Honda’s female driver and a male passenger when it shattered the driver’s side window, according to the CHP. Continue reading→
