The early election results are proving that Santa Ana is not a liberal city. Although Democrats make up about 55% of our electorate they don’t get behind overly liberal candidates. Consider what just happened in the November General Election: Continue reading

Santa Ana 2016 General Election Voter Guide
The absentee ballots were sent to Santa Ana voters this week. So now it is time to vote! This is an important local election as the City Council majority is at stake. Our current City Council majority is trying to fool the voters into giving them a 700% raise via Measure PP. Needless to say we oppose Measure PP. If anything our City Council deserves less of our tax money, not more. Vote No on Measure PP!

It is a crazy idea – and it is wrong on so many levels. Yet the scheme, which was hatched by the RSCCD Foundation, is moving forward – but not as was expected.
The potential profit from the deal has also been reduced from $8 million to $2 million after negotiations with Saudi Arabian officials finished, according to the Santa Ana College Newspaper, El Don. Continue reading

The Santa Ana City Council’s Measure PP will give them a 700% pay raise!
Did you know that the awful Santa Ana City Council is asking you to give them a huge raise via a measure on the November Primary Election ballot? It is hard to believe that our part-time Council Members, who have done nothing while crime has soared out of control in our city, think we are so stupid that we will vote to give them an ill-deserved raise.
Here is the official Argument Against Measure PP that was written by Steven Nguyen (a resident who is an O.C. employee/college student, a member of the OC GOP Central Committee and a candidate for the RSCCD College Board), Mike Tardif (a resident and local business owner) and Thomas Gordon (an elected member of the OC GOP Central Committee, resident and employee of the LAUSD):
When was the last time you received a 700% raise in your pay? Continue reading
Will the voters close the book on Rancho College District Trustee Claudia Alvarez this November?
Claudia Alvarez, the former Santa Ana City Council Member and current Rancho Santiago Community College District Trustee, is facing a serious challenge to her seat this November as several candidates have filed to run against her.
One of the candidates, Cecilia Aguinaga, has run for office several times and has come close to winning a seat on the SAUSD School Board. Another candidate, Steven Nguyen, has had more recent electoral success as he was elected to the OC GOP Central Committee in this year’s June Primary Election. You might know his dad – OC Clerk-Recorder ∫ç. Continue reading
