Advisory: Detectives Request Assistance Identifying A Female Suspect Who Vandalized A Santa Ana City Vehicle

Suspect: Female/Hispanic 20-30 years old, 5-02 to 5-04, thin build, dark hair, possible blue eyes

Location: 116 W. 4th Street Santa Ana, CA

Synopsis: On 02/04/16, at approximately 1440 hours, a female suspect is caught on video as she vandalized a Santa Ana parking control vehicle after being issued a parking citation.

The suspect keyed the hood of the vehicle with profanity and fled the scene in a black colored 1998 Honda Accord 4 door sedan, California license # 2LPH359. Continue reading→

How many Santa Ana residents will be ticketed at the upcoming Ciclovia?

Gerardo Mouet, executive director of the City of Santa Ana’s parks, recreation and community services agency, told the OC Register this week that “Santa Ana is the county seat and the most urban section in the county. Biking and walking in an urban setting is of growing interest, and Santa Ana is a great place to illustrate this trend to the entire county.”

Mouet is very proud of the fact that Santa Ana will be hosting Orange County’s first ever Ciclovia – an open streets event where the streets will be closed to cars and opened to bikers, walkers and runners. SOMOS or “Sunday On Main Open Streets” is scheduled for Sunday, October 5, 2014 from 9 am to 4 pm.

But here is the problem – the City of Santa Ana has a mandatory bike registration program in place that is run by the Santa Ana Police Department. If your bike is not registered with the police they can stop you and actually give you a pricey ticket! Hardly any of our residents know about this program. SAPD Advisory: Police implementing program to educate the public about the laws governing pedestrian traffic on our roadways.

The Santa Ana Police Traffic Division is implementing a program to educate the public about the laws governing pedestrian traffic on our roadways. This program has begun with targeted enforcement of traffic laws relating to pedestrians in crosswalks. The program will continue into the coming weeks with increased enforcement of pedestrian traffic violations (i.e. pedestrian signals, jaywalking, etc.)

Santa Ana Police Department Advisory: April is Distracted Driver Awareness Month

As part of April’s Distracted Driving Awareness Month campaign, the Santa Ana Police Department will be actively ticketing those texting or operating hand-held cell phones for the month of April. Drivers who break the law and place themselves and others in danger will be cited with no warnings. The current minimum ticket cost is $159, with subsequent tickets costing at least $279. In April 2012, over 57,000 tickets were written statewide for texting and hand-held cell use. There were nearly 450,000 convictions in 2012. Amezcua wrecked by new mailers divulging his traffic record and support for criminals

Santa Ana Mayoral Candidate Alfredo Amezcua was completely wrecked today by a pair of mailers that highlighted his defense of gang bangers and drug dealers, and the fraud he committeed while receiving 19 traffic tickets.

In the criminal mailer, Amezcua’s law practice specialties are quoted. They include working for “dead beat dads,” which is something he should know about; child molesters and sex offenders; gang members; and even drunk drivers.

Amezcua has been harping a lot about crime, but thanks to him a lot of criminals are running free today.

The mailer even discloses that Amezcua represented someone who raped a 13-year old girl, and then he tried to kill her after she reported the incident!

I wonder how many of these guys are walking precincts for Amezcua?

Amezcua really got burned in the mailer about his traffic record. He clearly got caught altering court records in order to protect what is left of his driving record. This is fraud! So much for his talk about integrity. We now know better.

In related news, Amezcua sent out another fraudulent mailer claiming that he has the support of Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez. No, he doesn’t. He is a liar. He will do and say anything to get elected.

I drove by Usual Suspect Debbie McEwens’s house today. She is the lady who put up traffic barriers in French Park, to keep the Mexicans out. Now she has an Amezcua sign in her yard. She might change her mind after she sees these mailers! But that aside, why would Amezcua seek the support of a woman who cannot stand his own people?
