Amezcua tells Hart, thanks for splitting the vote!
Alas, poor Charles Hart. The Santa Ana mayoral candidate has finally figured out that he was used by the Usual Suspects. They urged him to run so he could take white votes away from Mayor Miguel Pulido. Now they don’t need him anymore.
Jeff Dickman, an embittered former City Commissioner who uses the smokescreen of historical resources to try to stop affordable housing, has sent out a mass email begging the Usual Suspects to support mayoral challenger Alfredo Amezcua, instead of Hart.
Hart has struck back with this missive:
Having read an analysis and plea from Mr. Dickman regarding Miguel Pulido and Alfredo Amezcua, I feel it my duty to address his faulty reasoning.
While Mr. Dickman’s assessment of Miguel Pulido using the Victory Fund to funnel campaign funds is accurate, his plea that Alfredo Amezcua is the only viable candidate is pathetically flawed and sounds as cries of desperation versus integrity or intelligence in selecting a candidate.
Mr. Dickman’s analysis of why voters should choose Amezcua over Hart to defeat Pulido is analogous to those of us who fell for the same argument to choose Schwarzenegger over McClintock to defeat Davis for the governorship of California. We were told that even though McClintock was the true conservative and that even though he would be a better governor than Schwarzeneger we should
still vote for Arnold because he was the only candidate that had a chance to beat Davis — look at what that line of reasoning bought us; a governor that rolled over for the established liberal machinery in Sacramento raising taxes and driving businesses out of California. Like Arnold, Amezcua has talked conservatively, but if you look at where Amezcua comes from as a Democrat and a
defense lawyer that has defended the very of people a mayor should be working to get off the streets, you find that he is not the conservative answer to Pulido.
Don’t be sold a bill of desperation to simply defeat Pulido. Emotionally, we all want to send Miguel packing, just like we did Davis from Sacramento. Let’s not make the same mistake in electing somebody that will not bring the right change. Charles Hart is the only conservative candidate that always has been conservative and will still be conservative after he is elected.
Vote smart, vote HART.
Charles Hart
The Usual Suspects used to hang out with Hart at public meetings. Now they are making a beeline for Amezcua, but at least they left us this picture to remember their previous dalliance with Hart:
